Loving God

You ask us to welcome one another with trust and openness

Shape us into a community where all feel welcomed

Open our eyes to notice the visitor and newcomer

Open our mouths to speak words of encouragement

Open our ears to hear words of friendship

Open our hearts to what is new

Open our minds to create a welcoming community

so that everyone will feel valued, loved and welcomed in this place

PREPARING for the SUNDAY MASS

It is good to take some time to prepare ourselves during the week for Sunday Mass so that we get the maximum benefit when we are gathered with the community

Take time this week to reflect on the SUNDAY GOSPEL

Read it once and wait in silence

After a long pause  read it a second time

Then share with each other as a family about what word/s or phrase strike you

Then reflect on how this week's Gospel is linked to your everyday life

Finish by saying the Glory be to the Father

LIVING SPACE

is a website designed to help you reflect on the Sunday Gospels

It takes five minutes to read and pray

Here is the address:

www.sacredspace.ie/livingspace/index.php

Another useful website to help you reflect in your family is

THE WEDNESDAY WORD

You can download family friendly reflections

and use it to pray on the Sunday Gospels

You can access this at:

www.wednesdayword.org

The above websites are really good for catechists who are preparing to lead a session!
