Welcome to St. Josephs Catholic Church Bromley

An amazing history

The story of our parish begins a long time ago, there were monks from the Priory of Rochester here in the middle ages. Our Parish story begins in 1886 when Monsignor Goddard established a mission at Willowbank, the Church was called All Saints!

  • In 1892 there was a tin Church erected and was dedicated to St. Joseph
  • The Opening Mass of the Parish was at 8am on the 13th March 1892
  • The present Church was opened by Bishop Amigo on the 13th December 1912
  • It was consecrated when the debt was cleared on the 28th April 1914!

Our Parish Primary School

Our School is also called St. Joseph's, it began as a schoolroom opened on the 15th November 1909. The site and building costs were provided by the Trinitarian sisters, who have been part of the parish from its beginnings.
