- In 1892 there was a tin Church erected and was dedicated to St. Joseph
- The Opening Mass of the Parish was at 8am on the 13th March 1892
- The present Church was opened by Bishop Amigo on the 13th December 1912
- It was consecrated when the debt was cleared on the 28th April 1914!
